Dragon Lounge is still holding their breakbeat / d&b monthly at Brick By Brick. There are some cool bars still kickin' down with no cover & no dress code while maintaining an excellent lineup of local and visiting djs - Bar Dynamite, the Red C Lounge, Recognize, Kadan, Onyx Room and the Rhythm Lounge are all low key bars that are worth checking out (mainly house and downtempo). Downtown San Diego is rampant with new clubs, avoid it on the weekends because it is a zoo, catering to stuck up goons who know nothing about the music and a lot about over priced black clothing...yup.
